Ursula Kane Cafferty is a nurse and midwife by profession and has worked in the Irish health service since 1974, apart from two years working in a Central African mission hospital in the early 1980s. She also holds qualifications in Microbiology, Communication Studies, Project Management and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. She is a graduate of “The Maeve Binchy’s Writers’ Course” programme held at the National College of Ireland in 2003-2004. Ursula has always had a keen interest in writing verse. This is her first book.
